MonitorGEO reads your home page
Title, headings, visible text. From that it works out what you sell and where you sell it. If the page does not say, MonitorGEO stops and tells you: it will not guess a trade for you.
it writes 5 questions
Not questions about your brand. Questions about your job, the kind someone types when they do not know you yet, in the language of your market.
it queries the engine
The free Scan queries ChatGPT through its programming interface. Each answer is stored word for word, with the date and the engine named.
it counts
Are you named? How often, and in which position? Which companies came up instead? Which domains did the engine cite as sources?
you read the result
A page with your own link, plus the same thing by email. The link stays live for 90 days.
what the Scan does not do
It does not rewrite your site. It does not promise a position. It does not invent a number.
An AI answer is not a ranking. Ask the same question twice and the wording moves, sometimes the names move too. That is why every answer here is dated and attributed: you are reading one measurement, taken at one moment, not a permanent score.
Which is also why one Scan is a starting point and not a verdict. What matters is the trend, and a trend needs more than one reading.
